1. Using Ticha Smart
Ticha Smart is a marketplace that connects parents, students and teachers in Tanzania for home and online tutoring. By creating an account, you agree to use the platform honestly and to provide accurate information about yourself or your child.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Parents may create and manage accounts on behalf of children who do not yet have their own device or account. Teacher accounts are reviewed before their profile becomes visible to families.
3. Bookings and Lessons
When a lesson is booked through Ticha Smart, both the teacher and the student or parent agree to honour the scheduled time, subject and mode (home or online). Cancellations should be made with reasonable notice wherever possible.
4. Payments
Rates are set individually by each teacher and shown clearly before booking. Payments made through the platform are processed securely. Ticha Smart may apply a service fee, which will be disclosed before you confirm a booking.
5. Reviews
Reviews may only be left by students or parents who have completed an eligible lesson with a teacher. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may not contain abusive, false or misleading content.
6. Teacher Verification
Teachers who apply to join Ticha Smart go through an application and review process. Verification reflects that a teacher's application has been reviewed by our team — it does not replace a family's own judgement when choosing a teacher.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Ticha Smart to harass other users, share false information, or attempt to bypass the platform to avoid fees. Accounts found to violate these terms may be suspended.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the platform grows. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
